Laapataa Ladies (2024) Hindi movie review : Wow! It is such a wonderful movie! Take a bow to Kiran Roa for making such a touching movie. Why don’t they make more movies like this one? Movies like this one comes once in a while, so enjoy the nostalgic trip that reminds you veteran movie makers like Basu Chatterjee or Hrishikesh Mukherjee and their wonderful movies that reflect on simplicity, moral values of the common man and above all to believe in the goodness of humanity. This is kinda movie that will bring content to one’s heart and smile to face. All the actors have done a fantastic job. However, my favourites are the two lost brides and the cop played by Ravi Kishan, he is the only known face in the movie. He is the hidden ace and trump card. I don’t want to reveal much for those who haven’t seen the movie yet. The story is so simple yet the way it is presented makes it so complex with characters that are like the layers of an onion. Each and every character is written with so much care and love that it shows on screen, be it Manju Mai at the railway station, Chottu the kid who sells tea at the station, and even the station master who is so caring. These are small characters that make big impact. I would like to have this movie for my personal collection. My rating is solid 10/10. Highly recommended.
