The Devil’s Hour ( 2022) TV Series Review : Thanks to Tanvi Sinha for the nice recommendation. A woman wakes up exactly at 3.33 am every night and there is a reason to it. The time between 3 to 4 am is called as the Devil’s hour. Nikesh Patel reminded me my good writer friend Ravi Sidula as he has the same first name Ravi, DI Ravi Dhillon. Though his performance is mostly reserved, but it is the kid Isaac Chambers played by Benjamin Chivers who stands out with brilliant performance. Jessica Raine is simply superb in his mother’s role as Lucy Chambers.The mother-son duo have the same issue of being able to see the things or people that aren’t actually there. Lucy tries her level best to reach to the bottom of this and fix it for her son, Isaac. However, the person who is the hidden ace in the series is Peter Capaldi as Gideon. When you reach to the penultimate episodes, you will realise that he is the main attraction of this series. I binge watched this series Wednesday night. It is a fantastic plot that unfolds slowly, but steadily on screen. So many things happen at the same moment on screen at starting that it is some what confusing, but one gets all the answers in the end. However, you need to focus and not miss even a moment of it. This series has underlying suspense that it keeps you guessing until the end. And you won’t be able to take it off your mind once it is completed. This one is far more complicated than you would realise. This is the reason, I would like to see it again soon. There is good news that season 2 and 3 are in the making. My rating is 9/10. Highly recommended.
