My friend Ravi Sidula had recommended this touching movie about broken relationships. It shows that sticking to good in dark times would lead one into the light. I haven’t seen much of the director “Majid Majidi”, but felt this one is a well made. Ishaan Khattar and Malavika Mohanan shine in their roles. Also each and every supporting cast in the movie have given solid performance. Especially, the kids and the old lady seem to be living their lives on screen. They are so much into the characters that it feels so natural. The best thing about this movie is the cast. Also the cinematography is at its best. The plot is based on two main characters of brother and sister, how they face the challenges in life and try to overcome them. There is always light at the end of the tunnel, but how one manages to reach that end going through the dark times is what defines a person’s character. The movie becomes predictable at times, but that is fine. Another thing is the climax is open ended, maybe that is the way the story teller wanted it to be. It is left to our imagination if the characters of the movie get what they desire in life, but it is satisfying conclusion. I would recommend this movie. My rating is 3.5/5.
