I watched this one after watching Tovino’s Kilometers and Kilometers. This movie has a simple story, but it brilliantly made feel good movie. It is about a simpleton Hameed played by Tovino, whose only blood relative- his father dies all of a sudden, leaving him all alone. When he decides to look for a suitable girl for getting married, he is called an orphan. Also he finds a will made by his father in a trunk which mentions about two wives of his late father and he sets out in search of his biological mother, so that he can come out of the ‘Orphan’ tag and get married. I have seen mother-son bonding movies earlier and this one tops the list being one of the well made movies. The journey of mother-son from Kerala to Lucknow forms the major part of the movie. This Tovino-Urvashi combination is funny at times and even gets emotional towards the climax. The photography is just amazing in one word. The sunset scene with Tovino-Urvashi was like a beautiful painting on canvas. The script is like a cherry on cake and this is what I like about Malayalam movies, stories are important and form the important part of any movie. Then comes screenplay and actors who become characters of the story. The twist in the climax was excellent and I had to re-wind and see it more than once. Also it is very logical part of the movie. That one scene and next one conveys a beautiful message to the viewers. We just don’t become parents by giving birth to our kids, it is how we bring them up in life. Every thing is well made in this emotional journey of mother and son. The director needs a special mention for unfolding the story so well on screen. My rating is 4/5.
