The Goat Life (2024)Malayalam Movie Review:-

The Goat Life (2024)Malayalam Movie Review:- I wanted to see this one in theatre but missed it. So, finally watched it on Netflix last night. Technically it was brilliant. A R Rahman’s BGM took it to another level. Cinematography was awesome too. Performances wise I thought Prithviraj was outstanding potraying Najib’s character from real life. It was heart wrenching to see K R Gokul’s character Hakim suffering to survive in the harsh desert climate. It was also sad state of the old guy called “Hindi” who was there before Prithviraj could come. Also his sudden disappearance one morning confirms the worst fear about his tragic end. People are forced to live like animals and do routine work as a shepherd. They even don’t have water to take care of their basic day to day needs. The third shepherd played by Jimmy Jean-Louis as Khadiri comes as a ray of hope for their escapism from this almost imprisonment. The animals interaction with Najib is shown so well that you end up feeling for them. The Arabs shown in the movie are ruthless masters making salves out of innocent imigrants seeking greener pastures outside their homelands. Amala Paul’s character Sainu who plays Najib’s love interest and then his wife is a welcome relief and just like the Oasis in infinite desert. The underwater scenes were done well. Aadujeevitham is a cinematic masterpiece that will be remembered as a classic with passage of time. This is one such movie that will stay in your mind even after end credits. Each and every frame is so well crafted and shot that it shows on screen the effort and hard work that has gone into making this masterpiece. So, this one doesn’t deserve anything less than 10/10. Highly recommend.
