Chutney-Sambar (2024) Tamil Web Series Review: I randomly picked to watch this over last weekend as it starred Yogi Babu so thought it should be a comedy series. However, It was more than what I had expected and I ended up loving this web series that is well made. The plot is about a dying father who reveals a secret to his son and his last wish is to see his other son from another lady, who happens to be a street food vendor played by Yogi Babu. Yogi Babu specializes in delicious chutney that everyone loves in Chennai. Likewise, everyone in Ooty loves Amuda Cafe’s delicious sambar. Director Radha Mohan brings out a masterpiece that not only entertains the viewers, but some emotional moments tug at one’s heart strings as well. His direction is not only wonderful, but the amazing screen play elevates the script and takes it to another level. The cinematography is another major plus point that takes one literally to mesmerizing hill station Ooty that it too becomes a character in this amazing web series. Though Yogi Babu was the center of attraction or the cherry on the cake. Other supporting cast did amazing job as well. Each and every character leaves a lasting impact. It is a good watch over the weekend. You will be tempted to have the chutney – sambar for a second serving as well.
