My cousin Veena recommened this movie to me.Vijay (Sai Dharam Tej) seems to be overshadowed by bad luck that doesn’t seem to live him like his own shadow. It is a story about a person named Vijay who wants to achieve something in life, while life seems to keep knocking him down at the every step.

He has an optimist father played by (Posani Krishna Murali) who believes in his son more than his son could even believe in himself. Even his… love Lahari (Kalyani Priyadarshan) walks out of his life taking her childhood friend Sweccha (Nivetha Pethuraj)’s advise.

Chitralahari is a well-intentioned film that tells a story about an underdog who doesn’t give up till he reaches his goal. The downside is that it turns into a melodramatic story, but it ends well. The best thing is there is no forced romantic songs to interrupt the story. Sai Dharam Tej delivers one of the best performances of his career. Kalyani Priyadarshini as the confused lover is perfect.

I liked Nivetha Pethuraj’s performance more.Posani Krishna Murali shines in father’s role. Sunil and Vennela Kishore are fine with their comic roles.
