I like this movie for more than one reason. A.R.Rahman, the Oscar winning music director from India had composed music score for this movie. It was the first time I was seeing Chris Pine out of Star Trek movie franchise. Then it had a wonderful family bonding story and a good message.

The plot of the movie is about a young man who discovers after his father’s death that he has a sister whom he never knew about. 

The coming together of both siblings and the family bond they share is heart warming to watch. Also the movie is inspired by true events.

The writing of this movie is really good. The music score is beautiful and sets the emotional tone well for the movie. The acting is fine and believable. The ending is very touching and perfect that it made me feel so much emotional.

The only problem I had with People Like Us was that the movie started off a bit slow, but then it gets better as it goes on.
